Browzar Browser Review - Is Browzar a Good Application For Windows and Mac OSX?
Browzar is a new, privacy-friendly browser. It's a lightweight application that's designed to run on Windows and Mac OSX. You can download the executable from the project's website. Unlike most browsers, Browzar does not save any cookies, history, or other files on your computer.
It's also a very light-weight app, with a footprint of less than two hundred and twenty-five kilobytes. This makes it easy to transfer between computers and USB drives.
The Browzar web browser interface is simple and clean, and it allows users to securely delete and manage their web browsing history. There is also an auto-block popup windows function. However, the Browzar web browser's user interface does not include standard UI shortcuts.
Ajaz Ahmed, the founder of Freeserve, created Browzar. He sold the company to France Tlcom for $3 billion in 2001. Since then, the company has been developing other products.
Browzar is free to download and use. It runs on Internet Explorer 5.5 or later on Windows systems. Nevertheless, the company's revenue is mainly from ads.
Browzar also has a "Secure Delete" feature that allows users to erase data on their hard drive. If a user enables this, Browzar will repeatedly run a cleanup procedure after the browser is closed.
While Browzar is certainly a useful tool for ensuring a more private surfing experience, it doesn't prevent ISP monitoring, or search data leaks. Moreover, it does not offer many of the features that you would expect from a top-of-the-line, privacy-enhancing browser.
